The moon waxes and wanes on a regular basis. Many things in nature do. Just as there are changeable seasons outdoors, there are waxing and waning times of greater or lesser activity in our lives, too.
On our small Minnesota farm once winter is past, there’s a flurry of activity getting gardens ready for planting and then a long quiet spell while sun and rain do their work and we keep weeding until harvest
Waxing and waning happens in a writer’s life, too. We research and write, edit, rewrite, submit for publication, and w-a-i-t. Networking, newsletters, and occasional advertising allhelp. We weigh and consider options. A good author friend made me aware of a live t.v./talk show opportunity offered by Mike Briggs of Central Valley Talk Radio. Thirty minutes flew by and we had a good time. I paid a small fee for the YouTube rights but because they were delayed in posting it, they insisted on maximizing distribution to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, Reddit, Tumblr, LinkedIn, and the Briggs on Books playlist. Here’s the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oUPCg6UL0V8 to view any parts you have time for.

Mike is a professional interviewer who asks great questions and says he’ll read my books. It was a great and fun experience I recommend to anyone writing or producing books.
What about you? What’s the best (or funniest) networking or advertising outreach you’ve had? Would you recommend it? Or not?
