I’m in Israel on my 9th trip since June 1984, totaling 135 days of my life so far, and again seeing long-term friends and viewing Israel from the inside—not as a tourist.
But that’s not the only reason I’m visiting this wonderful country!!
Due to many requests for travel tips that other travelers going to Israel have asked for, I’ve written Israel on a Budget for all ages, A Traveling Grandma’s Guide to Israel—Plan your trip for a little over $120 US per day after airfare. This fun project, part memoir, and part travel guide will release before summer. I’m delaying it until after Strong Currents is welcomed into the world as a healthy book-baby on February 21st, 2023. I’m also using this trip to double-check facts, better describe the political coalition, and add a few new tidbits from this current trip.
I guarantee that besides recommending many things to see and do, Israel on a Budget also advises things not to do—like end up in tear gas in East Jerusalem while taking a shortcut. American women are famous for going where they want to and when, but that isn’t always wise in foreign countries. I’ve smartened up since my first trip abroad—learned to ask more questions—and pay attention to the answers.
I’m delighted that a friend, who is also a discerning world traveler, read my pre-publication draft before taking her own trip. Here’s her glowing recommendation:
“Previewing Israel on a Budget for all ages – A Traveling Grandma’s Guide to Israel before my trip to the Holy Land, came at perfect timing! Delores Topliff’s delightful travel book is a treasure for those heading to Israel. This entertaining, informative handbook is essential for exploring such a fascinating country. It helped me add unfamiliar things to my list.” – S. Williard, world traveler
I couldn’t have a better review and also have more great endorsements that all confirm exactly why I wrote the book.
In the upcoming months, I’ll announce its release on Amazon for print or e-Book orders. To request signed copies, email me directly and I’ll sign and mail copies wherever you wish.
Happy rest of January. Our days are growing longer with more sunshine, which I love. May you find it easy to keep your New Year’s Resolutions and hurtle into 2023 to find it your best year yet!.
