Wishing everyone a warm and Merry Christmas and a 2021 that is happier and kinder than most had in 2020. I continue teaching online college classes and loving it. At the same time, after improving my craft and knocking on novel publishing doors for years, I am blessed to suddenly have two doors open at once. Books Afloat, a WWII humorous suspense (those words can fit together), partially based on true events on the Columbia River will be published Jan. 12, 2021. It’s available for pre-order on Amazon Dec. 29th in print, Kindle, and e-book. That’s its cover you see at the top.
Wilderness Wife, based on the amazing first half of Marguerite Wadin McKay McLoughlin’s life, will be published Sept. 7th, 2021. Together she and second husband, Dr. John McLoughlin, crossed N. America with their family and established Fort Vancouver, WA. (my home turf) and a fur-trade empire stretching from Canada to California and the Pacific to the Rockies. However, in earlier years, she was abandoned by her famous explorer first husband but with courage and strength persevered in incredible ways that changed North American History forever. I’ll tell you more about her later.
Now, it’s time to turn thoughts to home and hearth, maybe special cooking, hugging loved ones if you’re near, and being thankful to connect by technology if you’re not.
Thanks for reading my blogs. I hope you’ll stay tuned for future exciting posts.
God bless you and yours through Christmas and all of the coming year!
