I trust you’re busy creating good memories, so I’ll keep this short and sweet. I hope your Christmas was wonderful and that 2023 is filled with peace and incredible blessings for all families and the world. Take time during these days in-between the old year and the new to enjoy and give thanks for everyone.
Historically, the day after Christmas in countries with ties to the United Kingdom is Boxing Day. Originally, that’s when gifts were given but today it’s associated more with shopping and sporting events.
January 1st is Happy New Year. January 6th is the Feast of Epiphany celebrating the arrival of the Magi finding baby Jesus in the stable. In many European nations, January 6th is also the Twelfth Day of Christmas when gifts are opened. (Cue the song The 12 Days of Christmas as background music here.)
Whenever you celebrate, I hope you’ve also received a new book to enjoy. After you’re read it (and posted a review on Amazon), share it with others and discuss.
Thank you, readers, for your support through 2022. May you and your families and our world be safe and blessed all the way through 2023 and beyond.
